Sensitivity Analysis for Survey Weights

چکیده

Abstract Survey weighting allows researchers to account for bias in survey samples, due unit nonresponse or convenience sampling, using measured demographic covariates. Unfortunately, practice, it is impossible know whether the estimated weights are sufficient alleviate concerns about unobserved confounders incorrect functional forms used weighting. In following paper, we propose two sensitivity analyses exclusion of important covariates: (1) a analysis partially observed (i.e., variables across sample, but not target population) and (2) fully either population). We provide graphical numerical summaries potential that arises from such confounders, introduce benchmarking approach quantitatively reason their results. demonstrate our proposed state-level 2020 U.S. Presidential Election polls.

Statistical Graphics for Survey Weights

Practical common weights MOLP approach for efficiency analysis

A characteristic of data envelopment analysis (DEA) is to allow individual decision making units (DMUs) to select the factor weights that are the most advantages for them in calculating their efficiency scores. This flexibility in selecting the weights, on the other hand, deters the comparison among DMUs on a common base. For dealing with this difficulty and assessing all the DMUs on the same s...

A GIS-Based Sensitivity Analysis of Multi-Criteria Weights

Sensitivity analysis (SA) is a prerequisite for model building since it determines the reliability of the model through assessment of uncertainties in the simulation results. With growing interest in extending GIS to support multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods, enhancing GIS-based MCDM with sensitivity analysis procedures is crucial. SA should be involved in GIS-MCDM model evaluation ...

Survey of sampling-based methods for uncertainty and sensitivity analysis

Sampling-based methods for uncertainty and sensitivity analysis are reviewed. The following topics are considered: (i) definition of probability distributions to characterize epistemic uncertainty in analysis inputs, (ii) generation of samples from uncertain analysis inputs, (iii) propagation of sampled inputs through an analysis, (iv) presentation of uncertainty analysis results, and (v) deter...
